Sam Lake, the creative director and writer of Alan Wake 2, the face model of the character Alex Casie, and a coffee enthusiast confirmed its ties with Control 2. In a recent interview withWCCFTech, Lake confirmed Alan Wake 2 tolay the foundationsfor the upcoming Control 2. This confirms that their plans for the Remedy Connected Universe are in motion.
“Yeah. It’s interesting. We did that in a very clear way with Control, especially with the AWE DLC, setting up things,”he said. The thing Lake is talking about is the AWE expansion for Control. In it, they officially confirmed the Alan Wake and Control universe to take place in the same timeline.
