Aquaman 2 Trailer Explained
So the latest Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom trailer throws at us some pretty interesting details. At the beginning of this trailer, we get to see that Arthur’s son also has the powers his dad has. He can also talk to fish like Aquaman. However, Black Manta proves to be a fearful villain in this one as compared to the last Aquaman movie where his role was quite minimal. We see the Black Manta wielding the Black Trident and is most probably possessed by a much more powerful entity. In this Aquaman 2 trailer, it seems that Tom Curry, Aquaman’s dad, will be killed by Black Manta.
We get to see that the dying Tom tells Arthur that “He Took Junior”. It means that the Black Manta abducted Aquaman’s son. Now for those of you who don’t know, in all of superhero comic history, Black Manta is the only supervillain to kill a baby. Any Guesses whose baby? Yeah, you guessed it right, Aquaman’s. Now I don’t know if he is going to do that in this movie or not, but if he does, I for one is walking out with a brand new trauma from the theaters.
Oh, I almost forgot, in this trailer, there are no scenes including Amber Heard’s Mera which was quite expected considering the whole Johnny Depp situation. Following the courtroom war between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, the careers of both the actors have been affected. Amber Heard was all set to make a reappearance in Aquaman 2 but her screentime in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been cut down significantly.Amber Heard is still in Aquaman 2 but with a screentime of just8 minutes
