House of the Dragon Season 2 Teaser Anticipates a Macabre War

For those who have forgotten, House of the Dragon Season 1 ended with the gruesome death of Lucerys Velaryon, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen’s (Emma D’Arcy) son. The House of the Dragon Season 2 teaser opens with Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans) accepting that errors were made in the hours following the death of King Viserys. Princess Rhaenys Targaryen (Eve Best) warns Rhaenyra by saying “There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin — and no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”

The 60-second teaser also shows two massive dragons going at each other in the great war between the two factions of House Targaryen.
