After its launch, Microsoft released Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and evenWindows 11, but Windows 7 still holds the top position as the most favored OS for many. Note:Since Windows 7 has reached End-of-Life, we don’t recommend using Windows 7 for day-to-day tasks. If you want to use Windows 7 for some special dated software, you can use it but do so sparingly. But we would suggest using Windows 10/ 11, and you canrun older software on Windows 10/11using the tutorial linked here.

Once downloaded, you can use Rufus tocreate a bootable USB for Windows 7on your PC. For those unaware, Windows 7 supports bothGPT andMBR partition styles. If you are dual-booting Windows 7 with another OS, then remember to select GPT, which is a modern standard and supports UEFI mode as well. On older computers, choose “MBR”.
